XP Dollars was born and raised in the DMV (DC-MD-VA). He learned how to play music from his father, who had his own band. Like most kids who grew up in the DMV, XP was heavily influenced by what is known as “Go-Go” music. As a youth, he performed with numerous local Go-Go bands including the Junkyard Band, Huck-a-Bucks Band and Subtle Thoughts. But he eventually fell under the spell of hip-hop and artists such as Jay Z, Nelly, Outcast, DMX, Trick Daddy, T.I. and of course the Notorious B.I.G and Tupac Shakur. Despite his love for music, it often took a back seat to his first love, Motorcycle Street racing, drag-racing and stunnin.
A move to Atlanta GA, not only led XP too form BlastSquad Ent./MC, but fast Bikes and the Atlanta Night Life proved to be the catalysts he needed to revamp his music career. He spent numerous hours in the studio working to develop his own style. He took to the streets of Atlanta promoting his work, then relocated to Las Vegas where he continued to network and perfect his craft. His hard work was rewarded with opportunities to work with Grammy-Award winning producers, song-writers and instrumentalists, Chink Santana, Rich Sheldon, Breezy, Lloyd, Raheem Devaughn and more.
As an independent artist, he's released a number of singles such as "On the Pole", "Ride (featuring Chink Santana)", "Winners (featuring Breezy)", "Natitude", "Switchin Lanez", "4 The Camera", "Party" and "SLYDE."
His debut album, “4 The Love of Dollars,” will be released in Summer 2017.
